System Requirements for Video Colorize AI and Animate Photos AI

Pixbim programs run on laptops or desktop computers.

System requirements for Video Colorize AI

Video Colorize AI can be installed on Windows and not on Mac

Operating System Requirements -

Windows - Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11 (64 bit only). Most laptops and desktop computers are 64 bit systems.

Mac - Not supported.

System memory (RAM) - 8GB and higher is recommended for improved performance - RAM is mentioned because video applications need more processing when compared to photo applications.

GPU - We have Video Colorize AI GPU version and CPU version. If you have an Nvidia GPU then install the Video Colorize AI GPU version (GPU version works only with Nvidia GPU's), GPU version is faster than the CPU version. We get user requests on which GPU to choose so see below if you are selecting a GPU or else you can ignore the GPU selection if you already have an Nvidia GPU.

System requirements for Animate Photos AI

Animate Photos AI can be installed on Windows and not on Mac

Operating System Requirements -

Windows - Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11 (64 bit only). Most laptops and desktop computers are 64 bit systems.

Mac - Not supported.

System memory (RAM) - 8GB and higher is recommended for improved performance (on 4GB RAM it will be slower).

GPU - We have Animate Photos AI GPU version and CPU version. If you have an Nvidia GPU then install the Animate Photos AI GPU version (GPU version works only with Nvidia GPU's), GPU version is faster than the CPU version. We get user requests on which GPU to choose so see below if you are selecting a GPU or you can ignore the GPU selection if you already have an Nvidia GPU.

Tablets & iPads - Our Pixbim applications do not currently run on iOS or Android devices.

Linux - We currently do not support Linux-based operating systems.

GPU Selection if you are buying a new one (you can ignore this if you already have a Nvidia GPU)

Use a Nvidia GPU because Nvidia is the biggest player when it comes to GPU's and most software applications work with Nvidia GPU's.

We would suggest to go for Nvidia RTX series like RTX 2xxx or RTX3xxx or even others based on your research and your budget, VRAM is an important paramter in GPU.

Below is one of the emails we sent to our user -

Make sure you get Nvidia GPU on the laptop (Processor can be either Intel or Asus, Intel and Asus are the major ones)

The Nvidia RTX 3000 series or even RTX 2000 series can be looked into. (We think RTX 3090 was released recently so it can be expensive, there are many other options, and maybe there are more recent releases that we have not kept track of).

You can also see Nvidia RTX series such as RTX 3050, 3060,3070, and 3090. You can look into them based on your budget and other applications you are using or you might use in future.
